Hearty Hawthorn

Hawthorn has a long history in folk medicine for the heart and today remains one of the more popular botanical medicines to help maintain a healthy heart. No single component of Hawthorn has been proven to be the primary reason for its cardiovascular effects, however among the constituents identified as important are the phenols, in particular the flavonoids.

Each preservative free capsule of Natures Sunshine Hawthorn Berries contains 450 mg of Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata) fruit powder.

Getting things moving!

Feeling constipated is just not pleasant! For many people constipation may be caused by eating a diet devoid of fibre or perhaps the constipation is a side effect of certain medications you are taking. It is important if you suffer from constipation to ensure that you are drinking plenty of water and consuming a fibre-rich diet, which may mean increasing your fresh fruit and vegetable intake.

Once you have corrected your diet then you may like some assistance from Nature's Sunshine Lower Bowel Stimulant, which has been formulated to help relieve constipation. It contains a number of herbs including some with a laxative action and some that may help reduce ‘griping'. The formula includes Cascara Sagrada, Alder Buckthorn, Capsicum, Ginger, Couchgrass, Oregon Grape, Red Clover and Rhubarb.

It is recommended that laxatives not be taken on a prolonged basis. Do not use if you develop abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present or if you develop vomiting or diarrhoea. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding seek medical advice before taking this product.

The easy way to take olive leaf extract!

Throughout the Mediterranean region the olive tree has traditionally been revered for its many health giving qualities. In particular the leaves of the olive tree are able to help improve general wellbeing.

For those who are not fond of the taste of liquid olive leaf extracts, Nature's Sunshine offers an easy to swallow Olive Leaf Extract capsule containing the equivalent of 2.94 grams olive leaf.

Researchers have found that olive leaf contains the phytochemical oleuropein which is believed to be responsible for many of its health promoting effects.

Relief for painful menstruation

Many women suffer menstrual pain at ‘that time of the month' and battle on regardless. If you fall into that category perhaps you can consider a very strangely named herb - False Unicorn (Chamaelirium luteum). False Unicorn was traditionally used by North American Indians as a uterine tonic to promote menstruation. It may also be used to relieve mild menstrual pain.

Each preservative-free capsule contains 450 mg of Chameaelirium luteum root powder.
